Z-Wrap Brush Arm Shock with 1/2" Bushing
The WA2FA Z-Wrap Brush Arm Shock is a critical replacement component for the Z-Wrap Brush system in a car wash tunnel. This shock absorber is specifically designed to regulate the movement of the brush arms during the wash cycle, ensuring a smooth and controlled motion as the brushes contour to the shape of the vehicle.
This shock is the link between the motor cage and the wrap arm, absorbing impact and preventing erratic movements that could damage the vehicle or the equipment. It is engineered to provide consistent resistance throughout its travel, ensuring the brushes apply the right amount of pressure for effective cleaning without being overly aggressive.
For enhanced durability and a long service life, the shock features two robust 1/2" UHMW (Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight) plastic bushings. These bushings resist wear and tear from constant movement, providing a smooth, low-friction pivot point for the brush arm.
The shock's dimensions are precisely engineered for the Z-Wrap system, with a compressed length of 15-3/8 inches and an extended length of 27-1/2 inches. If you notice a loss of resistance, sluggish movement, or fluid leaking from the shock, it is a clear indicator that a replacement is needed to maintain the efficiency and safety of your car wash system.
* Note: This brush arm shock with the 1/2" bushing is used to connect the z-wrap brush drive unit to the arm. The brush arm shock with the 3/8" bushing (P-M2002-A) is used to connect the arm to the z-wrap brush frame.
