Blower Intake Gate
As the car wash industry strives to be more environmentally friendly and reduce costs, interest is growing reducing one of the largest costs of running a car wash – blower energy.
The Blower Intake Gate shuts off the air intake of the blower between washes, allowing the blower to spin but removing the air load and thereby reducing the horsepower and energy draw dramatically.
This compact solution fits easily to both the current Tommy Car Wash Systems plastic blower housing design and its stainless steel twin. Simply remove the intake screen and install the Regulating Gate in its place. Hook up an Air Control Panel to the air cylinder(s) and the Air Control Panel to a relay on the controller and begin saving power by more carefully regulating blower function during the wash cycle.
