The Viega 1-1/2" MegaPress 90 Degree Elbow (95020) is a high-performance fitting engineered for creating durable and efficient directional changes in stainless steel piping systems. Constructed from 304 Stainless Steel, this MegaPress fitting offers exceptional resistance to corrosion, high temperatures, and various aggressive media. It incorporates a versatile FKM (Fluoroelastomer) sealing element (identifiable by a white dot) which, combined with a 420 stainless steel grip ring and a 304 stainless steel separator ring, ensures a reliable, leak-free connection. This system is compatible with off-the-shelf Schedule 10 to Schedule 40 stainless steel pipe, forming a complete press system that can stand up to harsh environments while transporting a wide range of essential fluids or gases such as process water, diesel fuel, lube oil, ammonia, and low-pressure steam.
A significant advantage of this Viega MegaPress elbow is its patented Smart Connect® technology, which allows for a secure connection in less than 7 seconds. This eliminates the need for welding, grinding, heavy equipment, threading, fire watches, hot work permits, or gas freezing, dramatically simplifying and accelerating the installation process. It also supports wet connections, minimizing system downtime. The fitting is rated for a maximum operating pressure of 200 psi and an operating temperature range of 0°F to 250°F.
