ASCO 2" Stainless Steel Angle Body Piston Valve (Normally Closed)

The Angle Body Piston Valve (8290A068) is a high-performance ASCO 2-Way, Normally Closed valve designed for robust fluid control in challenging industrial environments. This valve features a 2-inch FNPT (Female National Pipe Taper) pipe size and a durable stainless steel body, making it highly resistant to corrosion and suitable for a wide range of media.

As a normally closed (NC) valve, it remains shut until activated by an external air pilot signal, allowing flow once actuated. The valve utilizes a single air pilot for its operation, with a required minimum pilot pressure of 60 psi and a maximum of 150 psi. Its angled body style is efficient for flow and typically reduces pressure drop.

The valve is equipped with an FKM (Fluorocarbon) seal material and a stainless steel stem, which provide excellent resistance to aggressive gases, aggressive liquids, air, fuel oil, hot water, inert gases, light oil, oxygen, and steam. The disc material is brass. It can handle fluid temperatures up to 366°F (185°C) and operates with a fluid viscosity of up to 2,700 SUS. The valve boasts a high Coefficient of Volume (Cv) of 68, indicating excellent flow capacity.

With a 90 mm operator size, the valve is designed for reliable and responsive actuation. It has a maximum operating pressure differential of 90 psi for both steam and water. The operating temperature range is 15°F to 140°F ambient. It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor operating environments and complies with FDA CFR21 and RoHS standards. Its overall dimensions are approximately 10-7/8 inches in height and 10-1/2 inches in length. The "Entry Under Disc" design feature refers to how the fluid enters the valve relative to the disc's position, contributing to its flow characteristics.
