The Fig. 7401 Rigid Grooved Coupling is an advanced connector engineered to create a secure and rigid pipe joint. Unlike flexible couplings, its technologically advanced housing design features precisely sized and oriented tines that firmly grip the pipe, eliminating joint movement and ensuring a stable connection. This allows for pipe hanging practices that comply with ASME B31 pipe codes.
Installation is fast and easy. The exclusive design requires removing only one nut to swing the housing over the gasket and into the grooves. As the bolts are tightened, the coupling automatically separates the grooved pipe ends and guides itself into the correct position. This coupling is designed for use with 2" roll grooved or cut grooved standard weight and roll grooved lightweight pipe, as well as with grooved-end fittings and valves. The high-performance design supports a maximum working pressure of 750 psi (51.7 bar) on standard wall grooved pipe.
