2" Spigot x 1-1/2" FNPT Reducing Bushing (Sch. 80, Spears 838-251)
Heavy-duty Schedule 80 PVC Reducing Bushing used to transition a fluid system from a 2" connection size to a smaller 1-1/2" threaded connection
SKU: P-WAT-3464
The P-WAT-3464 (Spears 838-251) is a high-strength, gray PVC fitting designed for commercial and industrial fluid applications requiring increased pressure capacity. As a reducer bushing, it is molded to integrate a pipe fitting that changes both size and connection method.
Connections and Specifications
- Fitting Type: Reducing Bushing (Straight Pipe).
- Material: PVC (Gray), Schedule 80/XH construction for high pressure.
- Large End (Side 1 - Male): 2-inch Spigot (Male). This connection is the same size as 2-inch PVC pipe OD and is designed to be solvent-welded (cemented) inside a 2-inch Socket fitting (hence, it is a "Socket Weld" type reduction).
- Small End (Side 2 - Female): 1-1/2-inch FNPT (Female National Pipe Thread). This connection is designed to thread onto a 1-1/2-inch male NPT fitting.
- Nominal Size: 2 inches x 1-1/2 inches.
- Max Operating Pressure: 235 psi (at 73°F).
- Max Temperature: 140°F.
- Application: Suitable for Non-Potable Water and Potable Water applications (certified by NSF).
Function
This fitting is used to reduce a 2-inch line (or a 2-inch component socket) down to a 1-1/2-inch threaded connection point, often for mounting instruments, sensors, or tapping into a larger line for a smaller side stream.
Product Type: Reducing Bushing
